Gaja means elephant in Sanskrit and they are symbolic of strength & wisdom. Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and abundance, is often depicted seated on a lotus flower with two elephants by her side. The elephants showering Lakshmi with water symbolizes the continuous flow of abundance and blessings in one’s life.
Blending the rich traditions of mandalas and pattachitra, this fusion design embodies my love for both art forms!
Pattachitra is a traditional cloth-based scroll painting from Odisha, India. Known for its intricate details, Pattachitra depicts stories and figures from Hindu mythology. Where as Mandala, a Sanskrit word, literally means a circle. Traditionally, Mandala art features intricate geometric patterns arranged in a circular form and is often used for meditation and spiritual focus.
May this mandala bring you prosperity, good fortune, and the knowledge that you are always surrounded by strength and blessings.
